Unit 2 - Structures within sentences and more verbs
Introduction
In Unit 1, you learned how verbs and nouns conjugate and decline to create meaning and structure in Latin sentences.
In Unit 2, we will enrich our understanding of how Latin sentences work with phrases expressing time, place, and purpose as well as two new tenses, the present and the future.
Unit Objectives
By the end of this unit, you will be able to:
- Identify all forms of the gerundives
- Identify expressions of time using the accusative and ablative causes
- Identify all persons of the present, future, imperfect, and perfect indicative in both active and passive voices
- Use principal parts to form present, future, imperfect and perfect forms of verbs
- Translate more complex Latin sentences
