Course Objectives

 
By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Think, write, and speak critically about race and related concepts
• Trace the historical development of race thinking and its connection to major world events
• Articulate the ways in which antiquity was appropriated in support of race thinking
• Explain how racialized groups used antiquity to counter these claims
• Analyze the ways in which race thinking have and continue to influence the way we study classics
